Poch: Chelsea's FA Cup win "great relief", seeks "time"

Mauricio Pochettino demanded after the 3:2 victory of Cheap Chelsea Football Shirts more "time" in the FA Cup quarter-finals against Leeds United. Pochettino described the result as a "huge relief" after Conor Gallagher scored a last-minute winner to secure a quarter-final place against Leicester City. The Chelsea FC coach is under increasing pressure after a series of poor performances.

Chelsea coach Mauricio Pochettino described his side's victory over Leeds United in the fifth round of the FA Cup as a "huge relief".

The Blues came from 3-2 down to win at Stamford Bridge and advance to the quarter-finals against Leicester City.

Mateo Joseph opened the scoring for Leeds in the eighth minute, but goals from Nicolas Jackson and Mykhailo Mudryk gave Leeds the lead. Cheap Chelsea football shirt set for kids went into the half-time break with a 2:1 lead.

Just before half-time, Joseph scored another goal and it looked as though the game would go into extra time as the score remained unchanged.

But Conor Gallagher scored the winner for Chelsea in the final minute, leaving Pochettino relieved in his post-match interview with ITV.

The Argentine is under increased scrutiny following Chelsea's defeat to Liverpool in the Carabao Cup final last weekend and the club's eleventh-placed finish in the Premier League is also adding to the pressure.

"It's difficult because the expectations are so high," said Pochettino. "The team has to find the right balance during the season and you need time for them to perform. It's normal that you need time, but in the last four weeks we've played fantastic.

"The team is fighting and starting to act like a team. We're missing a bit in the squad and we always have 10-12 injured players.

"Enzo [Fernandez] and [Moises] Caicedo are playing and playing and we don't have any players to give them a rest. The substitutions were made because we needed to give some players a rest.

"Cole Palmer was ill last night, [Ben] Chilwell had a few problems, [Conor] Gallagher as well."

Chelsea's lacklustre performance in extra time of the Carabao Cup final against Liverpool prompted former Manchester United and England player Gary Neville to label the team "blue billion bottle stuff", which Pochettino said was "not fair".

"He was frustrated because Liverpool won another title," he said. "I don't think it's fair to blame people in that way with a team that is very young.

"There are a lot of expectations because we are Chelsea, but this team has to build and gain confidence. The unity is starting to grow, it's not magic, you can't just manufacture it.
