LOS ANGELES -- Right-hander Bobby Miller showcased a newfound stoicism, blazing fastballs, and a determined demeanor in the Dodgers' 7-4 win over the D-backs on Monday night.

Despite facing challenging moments as a rookie this season, Miller demonstrated resilience during the series opener at Dodger Stadium. His ability to rebound and focus on the next hitter is a quality the Dodgers value as they consider his role in the postseason.

While Clayton Kershaw, Julio Urías, and Lance Lynn lead the club's top three starters heading into October, Miller's 100 mph fastball places him not far behind.

"Learning how to manage the highs and lows of an outing allows you to go deeper into a game," commented manager Dave Roberts on Miller's progress in navigating a Major League lineup.

Miller's ability to find joy even amidst challenges as he works on refining his fastball and slider indicates his determination. He recalled a pivotal fourth inning when five consecutive D-backs batters reached base, stating, "Some days, I’m not going to have my best stuff. I’m not going to feel my best. But I got to find a way to get through it."
